Sunday Worship 10:30 am
Emmanuel celebrated its Open & Affirming status at a worship service on April 7, 2019. We welcome the LGBTQ+ community, persons of every color, physical ability, ethnic origin, family structure, faith background, etc. Emmanuel has been working on its Open & Affirming process for nearly two years and is the only ONA church in Hanover and Adams County.

We, the members of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Hanover, Pennsylvania, are a community of Christians who believe that all people are created in God’s image. As we seek to fulfill our mission to live out Christ’s compassion and grace, fairness and equality, we welcome into our community of faith all persons of every gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, mental and physical ability, age, race, ethnic origin, economic and social status, faith background, marital standing and family structure; and we invite each of them to share in the life, leadership, ministry, fellowship, worship, rites and sacraments, responsibilities, blessings and joys of our congregation as we seek to grow together in faith and love. Events & Activities
All activities are currently postponed through May 18.
There will be no Vacation Bible School this summer.
10:30 am: The worship schedule includes services at 10:30 am in the historic sanctuary with music from Emmanuel choirs, Time for Children, Children's Sunday School, and refreshments afterward during Fellowship Hour.
Adult Learning Hour is held at 9:15 am in Bowers Chapel. This month, class members began studying "Turn, Turn, Turn: Popular Songs Inspired by the Bible" by Steve Turner, a look at 100 of the greatest songs from the 1930s to today and how scripture influenced the lyrics and cultural context. 1-4 pm: Compassionate Crafters of all skill levels meet Mondays in the Pastor's Parlor to knit or crochet for a purpose. Everyone is welcome.
First and Third Wednesdays
